Home Learning
Dear Parents/Carers,
In am writing to inform you of the introduction of our new home learning expectations.
From Thursday 20th September, we will be sending home weekly home learning. All home learning across the school will be handed out on a Thursday, with the due date being the following Wednesday. This means your child will have from Thursday until Wednesday to complete their home learning. All home learning will be marked on Wednesday and any misconceptions will be addressed in class by the class teacher. If your child should submit their learning after Wednesday, this will not be marked. All children will have their own home learning book and all of your child’s home learning will be in this book, for your child to complete.
The home learning expectations are as follows;
Year R
Please read with your child, where possible every day.
Spellings will be given out later in the term.
Years 1 - 4
Will be alternating Maths and English each week. The home learning will be a set task, aimed to take your child around 30 minutes a week.
Please read with your child, where possible every day.
Please practise spellings every day.
Years 5 - 6
Year 5 and 6 will be set Maths and English each week. They will be set a task aimed to take your child around 20 minutes for each subject a week.
Please read with your child, where possible every day.
Please practise spellings every day.
