Stanmore children and their trips!

AI trip

On Tuesday 30 children from Year 5 and 6 took part in an Artificial Intelligence day at Winchester College. The children explored the uses of AI in the modern world and learnt all about how AI is programmed, how it learns and all of the moral and ethical implication associated with it. The day finished with a competition to design a new AI that would solve a problem that would benefit mankind and all the ideas were incredible. Well done everyone for a great day; we can’t wait to see if any of your ideas come to fruition.

Yr 6 Trip to the New Forest

We went to Cameron's Lodge In the New forest and had an amazing time. We completed a blindfolded trail through the New Forest, built shelters and got very wet by the teachers!!!!

In the afternoon, Children had to search for species including plants and trees. We found over 58 species in the surrounding area including a very cute toad!

Year 3

Year 3 children had a fantastic day on their trip to Harting Down. They learnt about the Geology of the South Downs, including the flatland and the chalk ridges, and also the Ecology, where they explored different animal such as moths and crickets. The children also got to walk through ancient woodlands and managed to walk 224m up the hill!
